ACHIEVEMENTS
We wish to salute a Consummate Chemical Engineer, Seasoned Academic, Chemical Reaction Engineering Expert, World Class Scientist, Engineering Research Scholar, University Lecturer Par Excellence, Eminent University Administrator and, an amiable Fellow of the Institute of Oil & Gas Research & Hydrocarbon Studies (IOGRHS) with several years of integrating theoretical knowledge and professional experience.
Professor Emmanuel Osikhuemeh Aluyor specialises in biotechnology and, has expertise in the extraction and processing of assorted oils for fuel. He is good in Chemical Reaction Engineering, Thermodynamics, Transport Phenomena, Process Design, Bio-Chemical Engineering Systems, Separation Process etc. He has contributed in the production of many intellectual works and innovations in the field of chemical engineering and, processes raw materials for bio-fuel production.
Engr. Prof. Emmanuel Osikhuemeh Aluyor is a Fellow, Institute of Oil & Gas Research & Hydrocarbon Studies (IOGRHS) with specialisation in Chemical Engineering and, a Member of the College of Fellows.
Earned Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Masters of Science (M.Sc) and, Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Degrees all in Chemical Engineering. He has authored many books and published articles in African and International Journals, including the presentation of several papers in local and international conferences, workshops, seminars, intellectual meetings etc. He has served as Professorial Assessor, Post-Graduate and Under-Graduate Examiner to the following Universities: (1) Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), a Federal Government of Nigeria University of Technology (2) Covenant University (CU), Nigeria’s Premier Private Christian University (3) Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO), Nigeria (4) Niger Delta University (NDU), Bayelsa State of Nigeria Government-Owned University (5) Moddibo Adama University (MAU), a Federal Government of Nigeria University of Technology.
Some of his Works include, but are not limited to, the following: (1) Development of a Catalyst for Biodiesel Production (2) Extracting, Analyzing, and Processing Uncommon Oils for Engine Fuel (3) Ternary System Approach in Separation and Purification of Biodiesel Fuel (4) Design, Fabrication and Operational Evaluation of a Co-Pyrolsis System for Waste-Plastics Derived Fuels (5) Effect of Process Variables on Volumetric Mass Transfer Co-Efficient in Wet Purification of Crude Biodiesel etc.
At some point, Professor Aluyor was the Vice Chancellor of the Edo University Iyamho (EUI), Edo State, Nigeria where he contributed in making the University emerged as the third (3) best University in Nigeria in the National Universities Commission (NUC) 2017 Open Educational Repository (OER) ranking. This Erudite Chemical Engineer has received several awards of excellence for his meritorious service(s). For example, in 2017, he was rewarded as the “Most Outstanding Best Performed Vice Chancellor in Nigeria by AREWA Media Publications, and in 2015 given a “Meritorious Award of Excellence” as Chairman Technical Committee of the NSCHE Annual Conference. Honoured to serve as a Reviewer of the Journal of Hazardous Materials (ELSEVIER), an International Journal of Physical Sciences etc.
